To celebrate Athens area artists working in the service industry, the Lyndon House Arts Center presents “This Is It!: Service Industry Artists”.

Athens is a wonderful town for creative people to call home. Many artists move here for the music scene, or for the university…. and then never want to leave. Who would want to leave this wonderful town?! To accommodate a lifestyle in Athens, many artists earn wages working in service industry when not producing in their studios. “This Is It!” highlights just a few of those artists, focusing on artists working in the food and beverage sector. Among the artists included in the exhibit are Lucy Calhoun, Toby Cole, Chris Collins, Kayla Cox, Jess Dunlap, Alexei Gural, Anna LeBar, Maximos Salzman, Elinor Saragoussi, Jessica Smith, Vernon Thornsberry, and Robyn Waserman. 

“This Is It!” will be on view through November 16, 2019. There will be an opening reception for the fall exhibits on September 5, from 6pm to 8pm.
