Lyndon House Arts Center presents FLOAT, an exhibition featuring
original artwork created by local artists.
The exhibition is an expansion of the Lyndon House Arts Center Gallery Shop (LHAC) presented by the Visual Arts Guild of Athens and features works on the theme of ‘float and floating’ as interpreted by members of VAGA and LHAC Gallery Shop artists.
It includes a wide variety of media: honey pots and pottery… paintings and photography… blown glass and glass that is fused… jewelry, hand painted silks, quilted fabrics and collages. These and much more are the offerings from more than 85 area artists (many with national reputations) that await the shopper with a discerning eye. Buy local. The center offers plenty of free parking.
The exhibition continues through August 7 and is open to all ages, however children must be accompanied by an adult. The exhibition is free of charge and is on display during regular gallery hours: Tuesday and Thursday: Noon-9:00 p.m. Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
