Richie Havens Recent Works

The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Department and the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services present Richie Havens Recent Works, an exhibition at Lyndon House Arts Center through October 26th.

Richie Havens Recent Works, is an exhibition of digital media prints by musician Richie Havens in the Ronnie Lukasiewicz Gallery at Lyndon House Arts Center. Richie, who died earlier this year, had been a long-time supporter and friend of Lyndon House Arts Center.
From Woodstock to the United Nations, to presidential inaugurations and global peace summits, Richie's music moved hearts and mountains for over four decades. All the while, Richie never stopped creating visual art. From paint and canvas to stone and wood, he eventually tried his hand at combining his drawings and photography with the wonders of digital media. The result of those efforts would become his final expression, and Lyndon House Arts Center is honored to showcase this exhibition.

This exhibition is free and open to all ages, however, children must be accompanied by an adult. Gallery hours are Tuesday and Thursday from noon to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
