The Transportation & Public Works Department often hosts Public Forums regarding upcoming projects.
Public Forums are an opportunity for Staff to present project concepts to the citizens of Athens-Clarke County that would be affected by the proposed project. Citizens are encouraged to attend to hear the concepts and give their feedback. Most public forums are in a "drop-in" format where attendees can arrive at any time during a forum.
When the project that was the subject of the forum goes before the Mayor & Commission for review, those citizens that provided an email address at the public forum will receive an email containing the date, time and location of the Mayor and Commission Agenda Setting Session as well as hyperlinks to the agenda reports being discussed.
