How to request/submit a Field Change

  • Field changes fall into two broad categories:
  1. Those which are made in the field with an inspector 
  2. Those which require additional documentation to review and approved the proposed field changes. 
  • To initiate a field change request:
  1.  Contact the reviewer/inspector of the main department that will be required to determine if the proposed change can be accepted as a field change. 
  2. When requesting approval for a Field Change, the inspector/reviewer will determine if an additional department will be required to review and approve the field change request. If more than two departments (including the main reviewing department) are required to review and/or approve a field change, it will automatically need to be a CTA submittal or a new PR if the proposed changes are above the parameters of a CTA. 
  3. If documentation or plan sheets for proposed field change is required, please email to the reviewer/inspector you are working with and they forward to additional staff if required. 
  4. Field changes, when not in the field decisions, may take up to three days to determine if approvable. 
  • Inspector/reviewer will create a field change submission folder in our system attached to the original approved plans to record the field change and mark as complete if approved.
