Utility Extension Permit

Overview

  • After Civil Plans have been stamped and approved by ACC Planning department, for projects that involve modifications or extensions to ACC’s water and/or sewer lines, Public Utilities requires a Pre-Construction meeting, prior to issuing a permit.
  • This Pre-Construction meeting is separate for Transportation and Public Works Pre-Construction meeting for land disturbance permitting.
  • The below resources have been compiled to clarify the steps required to schedule a Pre-Construction meeting for Utility line extensions.
  • All required documents must be submitted to Public Utilities and fees paid, per the instruction in the Procedure for Utility Line Extension Checklist linked below, PRIOR to requesting to scheduling a Pre-Construction meeting.
  • 8 sets of paper copies of final approved plans (1 full set and 7 partial sets) must be delivered to PUD Engineering.
  • Fees due prior to scheduling a Pre-Construction meeting are Administrative Costs (tap and inspection fees). These fees DO NOT include connection fees, stub and meter fees, which are calculated by PUD and paid by the developer during final inspection steps of the development process.
  • Once all required documentation has been submitted and fees paid required to schedule a Pre-Construction meeting,  to schedule a Pre-Construction meeting, please email PUDinspections@accgov.com. Pre-Construction meetings are usually scheduled within 48 hours.
