Determine the backflow requirements for the domestic, irrigation and the fire protection services.
Domestic services will require Double Check Assemblies or Reduced Pressure Zone Assemblies. (This will be determined by the processes that will be present on site.)
Irrigation services require Reduced Pressure Zone Assemblies.
Fire protection services will require Double Check Detector Check Assemblies.
Any installation shall adhere to manufacturers specifications for installation whether it is a vertical or horizontal installation.
Backflow assemblies shall be installed within 3 to 6 feet of the provided water service.
If an assembly is to be installed inside or a greater distance than what is stated, the Cross Connection Coordinator shall be contacted for approval.
