The Clarke County Sheriff's Office shall investigate all complaints of misconduct, including those from anonymous sources, in a thorough and unbiased manner. All complaints shall be reviewed through the Office of Professional Standards. Citizens have the option of filing a complaint online, in-person, or by emailing the Office of Professional Standards directly. The findings of these administrative investigations shall be forwarded, through the appropriate chain-of-command. The Office of Professional Standards is responsible for the investigation of serious allegations of misconduct against members and other allegations of misconduct as directed by the Sheriff.
The Clarke County Sheriff's Office desires to acknowledge team members for exemplary performance. Citizens can recognize a member of the Sheriff's Office by filing an online Commendation Form or by emailing the Office of Professional Standards directly. The Office of Professional Standards processes commendations to ensure team members are recognized appropriately.
