Is your church or community organization interested in Athens' water? We have programs on water quality, the perils of bottled water, statewide water issues, and others. We can customize a presentation to suit your needs. We give talks to groups of all ages, backgrounds, and interest level. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange for a presentation.
The Public Utilities Department offers a FREE, online water management tool to all water customers. The system is user-friendly, but a group presentation is available to introduce customers to all of the benefits the system offers. Customers who use WaterSmart save water and money. Rain Barrel Workshops
Rain barrels help conserve water and reduce erosion from stormwater runoff. The Athens-Clarke County Stormwater Division offers rain barrel workshops. In this hands-on workshop participants work with ACC staff to build their own rain barrels and learn how to install them at home. Participants leave with their own, ready to install rain barrel!
