Athens Transit System is committed to carrying out all applicable requirements as contained in 49 CFR Part 26, “Participation by Disadvantaged Business Enterprises In Department of Transportation Programs”, and has adopted a DBE participation goal of 7% for FY18 - FY20.

Contract Goals

Athens Transit System will establish contract goals only on those Federal Transit Administration assisted contracts that have subcontracting possibilities. Athens Transit System will not establish a contract goal on every such contract, and the size of the contract goals will be adapted to the circumstances of each such contract (e.g., type and location of work and availability of DBE’s to perform the particular type of work).  Athens Transit System will express its contract goals as a percentage of the total amount of a Federal Transit Administration assisted contract.
