Athens-Clarke County Boards, Authorities, and Commissions (BACs)

Several times during the year, the Mayor and Commission of the Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County (ACCGOV) seeks candidates for volunteer, unpaid, major policy boards. Citizen volunteers provide an additional perspective for staff and elected officials.

Vacancies are announced through various means, including: the ACCGOV website; local publications; social media; a media release; and ACTV. Residents interested in openings can subscribe to media releases, revisit this website, or follow @accgov on social media.
