Electric and non-motorized watercraft (fishing boats, sailboats, canoes, kayaks, paddleboards, etc.) are all welcome  on Lake Chapman; though, gasoline motors are STRICTLY PROHIBITED at all times.

While there are no additional fees beyond park entry, all Georgia Boating and Fishing Regulations must be observed. Patrons should have their licenses and registrations with them at all times as Georgia Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement officers regularly patrol the lake. All boats, including rafts, canoes, and kayaks must have one U.S. Coast Guard approved personal flotation device per person on board.

Small-craft  such as kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards may utilize the earthen boat launch to the right of the Beach or put-in at the Boat Ramp located in Parking Lot 12. Larger craft must use the Boat Ramp which includes parking for boat trailers and has both a boat dock and shoreline tie-off's to assist loading and unloading. An adjacent restroom facility and outdoor picnic tables are also available for a quick break from the lake.
