Services and Hours 
Due to COVID-19, there are frequent route and schedule changes. Please, check route current route schedules prior to traveling.

Athens-Clarke County Transit operates 20 Routes throughout the day and ten routes on the evenings and weekends. Routes serve major shopping locations and neighborhoods, the University of Georgia and the downtown district, and extend into the far corners of the county including Lexington Road, the Georgia Square Mall area, and Athens Area Technical Institute.

ACC Transit Hours of Operation

• Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 9:45 p.m.
• Saturday and Sunday: 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. (On-Demand only from 6:45 pm – 11:00 pm. Schedule through the Uber app or call (706) 613-3434.

Athens-Clarke County bus service may vary according to the route and day.

Summer Service: During all University breaks, "reading days" and holidays, Route 12 and Route 14 run on a reduced service schedule. Routes 23 and 28 do not run. Call Athens-Clarke County Transit for specific times and schedules at 706-613-3434. 

Route 23, Lexington Road Park and Ride Shuttle: Due to an extensive GDOT project along the Oconee St. corridor, this shuttle has been suspended.

Athens-Clarke County Transit provides convenient transportation almost every day of the year! Because of the low ridership during holidays, our buses do not operate on the following days:

• Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
• Memorial Day
• The Fourth of July
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas Day
