HEARINGS BOARD 
The Hearings Board is a seven-member body composed of ACC residents appointed by the Mayor and Commission for four- year terms. The Hearings Board meets regularly on the second Wednesday of each month at 3:00 PM in the Auditorium at 120 West Dougherty Street to review applications for variances as well as appeals of staff interpretations.

HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION 
The Historic Preservation Commission is a seven-member body composed of ACC residents appointed by the Mayor and Commission for three-year terms. The Historic Preservation Commission meets regularly on the third Wednesday of each month at 5:30 PM in the Auditorium at 120 West Dougherty Street to review applications for Certificates of Appropriateness, as well as to deliberate and make recommendations to the Mayor and Commission regarding the protection of historic resources in Athens-Clarke County.

PLANNING COMMISSION
The Athens-Clarke County Planning Commission is a ten-member body composed of ACC residents appointed by the Mayor and Commission for five-year terms. The Planning Commission meets regularly on the first Thursday of each month to deliberate and make recommendations to the Mayor & Commission regarding the Planning & Zoning code, Comprehensive Plan and other planning and development-related matters.
