Journey through the Stars

Join us for our planetarium program in the Sky Center. We will journey through the night sky, exploring the great beyond.

Ages: Ages 5 and older.  Children younger than 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

Saturday, November 17: 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.  Asterisms vs. Constellations- Did you know the Big Dipper isn’t a constellation? Learn what an asterism is and how it is different than a constellation.  Register online for this program

Winter 2018:

Saturday, December 15: 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Winter Skies  What is visible in our night sky during winter? Join us for a planetarium program about our winter skies and and discover stories about Taurus and the Pleiades.  Register for this program.

Thursday, December  27: 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. Family Planetarium Star Fun Feeling like you've been at home too much during the winter break and looking for a fun, afternoon activity? Join us for a mid-afternoon planetarium program. Sit back and enjoy a fun show about the stars, planets and our galaxy.  Register online for this program.

Saturday, January 19: 10 - 11:00 a.m. Birds of the Night Sky The sky is like an aviary! See bird constellations of the night sky like Corvus the Crow, Aquila the Eagle and Cygnus the Swan and listen to their stories. You'll feel like an ornithologist as you learn tricks to identify the birds of the night sky.  Register online for this program

 Saturday, February 16: 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.: Love Stories of the Night Sky In honor of Valentine’s Day, listen to myths about love and identify the constellations that represent love or star-crossed lovers in the night sky. Register for this program.

Ages:  5 years-Adult (children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult)  

Fee:  $2 per ACC resident, $3 Non-Resident
