Recognized on November 15th, ARD is a wonderful way to educate and engage in recycling activities. We ask students in K-12 classes to participate in Read for Recycling program to learn more about recycling and waste reduction through books.

The Athens-Clarke County Recycling Division will be hosting a local competition in addition to the Georgia Recycling Coalition.

The teacher and/or media center specialist with the most student participation will receive a class set of waste reduction/recycling books for their classroom.
