The Public Utilities Department (PUD) takes a multi-barrier approach to provide Athens' residents with safe drinking water. We begin with protecting water quality at the source, followed by effective water treatment and delivery through a reliable distribution system.  Throughout the process, we conduct regular monitoring and testing to ensure we provide you with clean water.  

As part of our commitment to build and maintain your trust in the public water system, the PUD publishes several summaries of laboratory test results:

• The  Quarterly Tap Water Analysis provides results for thirty routine tests.
• The annual  Drinking Water Quality Report, also known as the Consumer Confidence Report (CCR), compiles results from the previous year.
