Bookmaking Workshop: Soft Architecture
Saturday, October 22, 12:30 – 2:30 pm

Curator and artist Ciel Rodriguez leads a bookmaking workshop with Chicago visiting artists Jacob Goble and Hope Wang in conjunction with their group exhibition "Soft Architecture" on display with the Dodd Galleries at the Lamar Dodd School of Art.

Jacob, Hope and Ciel are all interested in the dialogue created between soft materials such as fabric, quilting, weaving and the more rigid materials, forms and architecture of artists’ books. Jacob will be sharing his love for geometric quilt patterns with bookmaking participants as we create soft, collaged fabric book covers for simple pamphlet stitched books. Free. All ages welcome, walk – in’s are welcome while supplies last!
