Georgia Possible is a collaboration between the University of Georgia and the Athens Clarke County school district, designed to help students have success in the classroom and after graduation. Starting freshman year, students will participate in the program for three years. After nine sessions, administrators from UGA and Clarke County schools are pleased with the partnership and excited for the future of the program.
Students in the Georgia Possible Program met with and prepared questions for our Ambassadors to learn about the innovative things that their respective department is doing. Some of the showcased departments included Public Utilities, Economic Development, Fire, and Planning. They learned about the mission for each department, how to prepare for a career, and more! Following a great rundown, our Ambassadors answered specific questions brought by the Georgia Possible Program students to help guide their success as future leaders of Athens Clarke County.
