About the Store The Teacher Reuse Store is a unique collaboration of business, industry, education, and government. It provides an innovative approach to the recovery and reuse of business and industry discards and by-products, as well as community donations of school supplies. Through this program, we are keeping items out of the landfills and putting them in the hands of our communities' education systems.
The store provides a variety of items to local educators for FREE!
Teacher Information The Teacher Reuse Store is open to any teacher in Athens-Clarke, Madison, Oconee, and Oglethorpe counties. Public school, private school, and homeschool teachers are welcome to "shop." All teachers must provide official documentation to verify teaching status- a school district photo I.D., a letter on school letterhead signed by the principal and/or letter of intent to homeschool will be accepted for entry. Only teachers will be admitted into the store -- no helpers please.
NO CHILDREN OF ANY AGE ALLOWED IN THE REUSE STORE!
NOTE: For your shopping pleasure and safety leave your bags, suitcases, wagons, and carts at home! The only bags allowed in the store will be provided to you. We ask that they be returned once the items have been placed in your vehicle.
The Teacher Reuse Store is now open year round during the CHaRM normal business hours for teacher shopping and/or community donations!
The goal of the Teacher Reuse Store is to provide usable materials to teachers for no cost and reduce the amount of waste disposed in our local landfill. Please take the time and examine what your business or industry discards and you might discover that your trash is a teacher's treasure!
