When a customer experiences financial hardships, paying for water and sewer services may become challenging. The Public Utilities Department offers several assistance options for customers to prevent our neighbors from facing a day without water.
Project SHARE: A program administered by The Salvation Army to provide emergency bill-payment assistance to individuals and families facing a temporary financial crisis.
Georgia Rental Assistance (GRA): Administered by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs to provide relief to GA individuals, families, and landlords whose finances were negatively impacted due to the COVID-19 pandemic response. The GRA program can provide up to 18 months of rental and utility assistance paid directly to landlords and service providers on behalf of the renter.
WaterSmart Customer Portal: An online water management tool for customers to track their water use, check and resolve leaks, find water-saving tips, and receive bill forecast notifications to avoid unexpectedly high bills.
