10. Self Assessment
    Take some time and reflect on you and your efforts when related to waste reduction. Where are you on the following:
12. Your personal waste reduction efforts?

    1. I try my best to live zero waste. I reduce, reuse, recycle and compost all that I can. I am always looking for new opportunities and education.
    2. I recycle and/or compost but would like to do more.
    3. I recycle but not willing to do much more.
    4. I recycle but if there isn't a recycling can nearby I will use the trash.
    5. Who cares? It is all just a waste of time.
13. Your knowledge on mixed recycling?

    1. I could teach the class!
    2. I am pretty comfortable with most materials but still have some questions.
    3. I would say 50/50. I get bottles, cans, paper, glass and cardboard but some of the other things I am unsure of.
    4. I just put everything in the recycling bin.
    5. I just put everything in the trash.
15. Your knowledge on CHaRM recycling?

    1. CHaRM is my middle name.
    2. I know most of what can go to CHaRM but maybe not everything.
    3. I stick to the main things like plastic bags, Styrofoam, batteries and light bulbs.
    4. If I think about it I might save a battery or two.
    5. It's too much trouble and not worth the time or money.
16. Your knowledge on composting?

    1. I am the Compost King/Queen!
    2. I understand most of it but might mess up every once in awhile.
    3. I know food can be composted, but all the other stuff confuses me.
    4. I know WHERE I can compost. That's it.
    5. Doesn't it just decompose in the landfill anyway???
18. Do you enjoy being your department's Material Management Coordinator?

    1. YES! YES! YES!
    2. It can be overwhelming at times but I enjoy it.
    3. I did in the beginning but I am ready for someone else to do it.
    4. I just do it for the free food and goodies.
    5. It looks good on my resume.
    6. Wait, I'm the Material Management Coordinator??!?!?!

    1. Star students!
    2. Everything goes in the right bin but we could do more reducing and reusing.
    3. They know better but I often find mistakes.
    4. Which ever way the wind blows is where it ends up.
    5. They ALWAYS get it wrong!
28. Bin organization, availability and labeling

    1. Perfection!
    2. Look good but could use more signs/stickers.
    3. They keep moving around but eventually they get to where they are supposed to be.
    4. I need more bins!
    5. Wait, what bins?
29. Support from supervisors and director

    1. They got my back!
    2. If there was a major problem, they would help.
    3. Depends on the day.
    4. They couldn't care less.

    1. I look forward to them each quarter.
    2. I learn something each time.
    3. They're fun!
    4. I love getting to chat with friends from other departments. (prior to COVID)
    5. Excited to see what is happening in waste reduction and how we can do better.
    6. I think the meetings need to be more often.

    3. I only come in November when we get a free lunch.
