More… The Lyndon House Arts Center is seeking gifted and serious studio-based artists to take part in the Artist in Residence (AIR) program, which provides participants with a unique opportunity to concentrate on their work in a supportive and collabortive environment. Professional visual artists 18 years or older living in Athens and the bordering counties are invited to apply. The AIR program is intended to strengthen the vitality of the arts in the Athens area by providing artists with valuable resources and work-space while broadening the community's engagement with contemporary art. During 6 months terms, the AIR program will offer artists a semi-private work space (approx. 10'x10') and access to our 7 professionally equipped studios (Photography, Printmaking, Wood Shop, Ceramics, Fiber Arts, Painting, and Fine Metals). Artists' work may involve any or all of these media. Artists will be expected to present their work in the form of a workshop or artist talk during their residency.Less…

The selected artist will install a single work that responds to the specific dimensions of the lobby case and its location within the Arts Center. Typically the IN CASE exhibit is on view for six to eight weeks.Less…
