4. Field Trip Information

   Bear Hollow Zoo offers several field trip options. Self-guided tours are offered on Mondays and Tuesdays. Picnic Shelters are available to reserve for lunch following your self-guided tour. Guided tours are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays and include a 30 minute ambassador animal presentation, a guided map for your zoo tour, and costs $3 per student for Athens-Clarke County groups and $5 per student for non-Clarke County groups. There is no fee for teachers, however, we do have a limit of 1 adult chaperone per every 10 students. Field trips are not offered during June and July.

   Field trips will not be available for Spring 2026 due to SPLOST construction. Please look at our outreach options for Spring 2026 dates.
