"Septage" typically refers to waste material that accumulates and is stored in a septic tank or onsite sewage facility.  Residential septic systems, port-a-potties, and RV holding tanks are examples of containers where septage accumulates.  These storage locations do not connect to the municipal sewer system, thus requiring the waste to be periodically removed by an approved septic disposer.
