The Compliance Unit is tasked with enforcing all Georgia state statutes and Athens-Clarke County ordinances involving the distribution and sale of alcohol, the operation of taxis (vehicle for hire), police-required wrecker services, precious metals and gems permitting, and pawnshop compliance.
