The Athens-Clarke County Police Department is located in Athens, Georgia, approximately 65 miles northeast of Atlanta.

The department has an authorized strength of 254 sworn positions, 64 civilian positions, and 33 crossing guards. We were the 48th police department to be nationally recognized as an accredited police department and one of the first (1of 6) to receive certification by the State of Georgia.

PLEASE NOTE: If your accident occurred on private property, please contact ACCPD directly or visit the East or West Precinct to obtain your report.  There is a $24.00 fee for private property accident reports. The East Precinct is located at 3035 Lexington Road. The West Precinct is located at 3700 Atlanta Highway in the Georgia Square Mall.
