This year, we invite students to explore and express their unique perspectives on sustainability and nature in our Classic City. Stewards of our environment are important "Hometown Heroes" here in Athens, and we want to see your depictions of these environmental champions! We encourage you to create a painting, drawing, sculpture, take a photograph, or write a poem about "Hometown Heroes".

Athens-Clarke County PreK-12 grade students are encouraged to submit their artwork for the exhibition. You must fill out this form for each piece of artwork, and a physical copy of the submission form must be turned in with your artwork to the ACC Waste Reduction Division. Please make sure that the physical artwork is labeled with the student's name, grade level, art title, and school, and the Google Form entry matches. Art without proper labeling may not qualify for the exhibition. Only ONE submission allowed per student. Please proofread your submission carefully, as this information is used for displays and certificates if selected. Attach a photo of the submission to help us match your information. Please write student names, grade level, art title, and school on the artwork (On the back or on a piece of tape). Selections will be made based on grade level and medium category. The Teacher Reuse Store is free for teachers to shop for creative supplies that your students can use in creating their artwork. Students, parents, and teachers will be notified in mid-March if the student's artwork has been selected for the Green Life Exhibition. The Green Life Exhibition will be displayed in the North Gallery at the Lyndon House Arts Center during the month of April 2026. All artists are encouraged to attend the closing reception on Thursday, April 30, 2026, from 3:30 to 5 PM at the Lyndon House Arts Center.
