Know of someone or some project that deserves to be honored? Nominate them for our 2021 Stormwater Steward Award by filling out the online application. Submissions are due by Monday, March 1.

2021 MLK Day of Service in Athens2021-01-18T09:00:00Athenians are invited to honor Dr. King's legacy at the 19th Annual Athens-Clarke County Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service on Monday, January 18, 2021. More than 20 different community organizations and schools will host volunteer service projects for the Day of Service, including Acceptance Recovery Center, Athens Land Trust, Books for Keeps, Friends of Brooklyn Cemetery, Nuci’s Space, Oconee Rivers Greenway Commission, Project Safe, and more. A variety of daytime shifts are available for volunteers of all ages. All CDC guidelines will be followed to limit the transmission of COVID-19. All volunteers must wear face coverings and social distance at all times. Volunteer registration is currently underway.
