Data Center Moratorium Proposal

The Athens-Clarke County Mayor and Commission will meet tonight at City Hall. Among the items on the agenda is a proposed emergency temporary moratorium on new data centers in Athens-Clarke County. This follows a rezoning request that could allow a data center to be built at the Athena Studios site.

The meeting is open to the public, available to be viewed on YouTube, and in person attendees are allowed to make a 3 minute public comment. You can send comments prior to the meeting by emailing your commissioners or submitting a public comment using this form.
