"Story as Jewel" Exhibition at Lyndon House Arts Center

Lyndon House Arts Center presents,Story as Jewel: Metalworks by Charles Pinckney, on view through September 1, 2023

Charles Pinckney is primarily a self-taught artist. Born in South Carolina, he creates jewelry and small sculpture from metal, stones, bone, and wood.
A former radio personality and constant story-teller, Charles describes his imagery as “abstractly related to memories of childhood.” His artworks consider “patterns generated as lives intertwine, the ebb and flow of emotional and personal connections over time.” Charles Pinckney has attended Arrowmont and Anderson Ranch as both student and teacher, studying with Bob Ebendorf, Eleanor Caldwell and Chuck Evans. His work has appeared in several publications, including Southern Living and Ornament Magazines. He has received grants from Georgia Council for the Arts and Tula Foundation Gallery. Recently, the Georgia Museum of Art featured his jewelry in a solo exhibition.

All exhibitions are free of charge and open to the public.  Exhibitions are on view during regular gallery hours of Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.  The Lyndon House Arts Center is closed on Saturdays when there is a University of Georgia home football game.
