Outdoor Water Use Information

Did you know that in Athens there is an outdoor water use schedule? This is to ensure that efficient watering practices are being implemented by community members! Using automated watering systems and sprinklers is permitted between the hours of 4:00 pm and 10:00 am.

It's important to check and make sure that your sprinklers are working properly. When sprinklers are not working properly, they can contribute negatively to stormwater issues. Water spraying directly onto sidewalks or the street can make it easier for pollutants to be picked up quickly and moved into storm drains. Do your part by checking your sprinkler system often when it's running to make sure that they are all working as intended.
