ACC Toastmasters

Welcome to ACC ToastmastersToastmastersLogoColor16

Do your palms sweat when you think about speaking publicly? Do you start to shake? Suffer from dry mouth? You aren't alone. An estimated 75% of the population struggles with a fear of public speaking. Toastmasters can help.

Athens-Clarke County Toastmasters is a chartered club of Toastmasters International, the world leader in communication and leadership development.

Our club is open to part-time, full-time, and retired ACC employees.  However, we invite anyone interested in learning about Toastmasters to attend our weekly meetings.  We will direct you to other local public clubs that you can join.

We provide a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth.  There is no pressure to speak, though you gain the most from the experience by practicing with friendly and encouraging comrades.

YOU'RE INVITED TO JOIN US!
Please join us for our in-person meetings:

WHEN:  The 1st, 3rd, and 5th Wednesdays of each month, 12:00-1:00 p.m.
WHERE:  780 Barber Street, the Bobby Snipes Water Resource Center Presentation Room*

TAKE ON A ROLE:  Want to sign up for a role?  Use our spreadsheet and enter your name

In-person meetings may change locations if a conflict arises with the presentation room, such as an ACC Blood Drive, mandatory county-wide presentations, etc.
