  1. 2021 Roll Out the Barrels Online Silent Auction

    Athens-Clarke County Stormwater, Water Conservation Office, and Keep Athens-Clarke County Beautiful will co-host the tenth annual Roll Out the Barrels fundraiser in May – but with a twist! This year’s event will feature an online-only silent auction of 16 beautiful rain barrels painted by local artists. The auction will be open from 8:00 AM on Thursday, May 13 until 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 27, 2021. Barrels will be on display for in-person viewing in the Lounge Gallery of the Lyndon House Arts Center starting on Tuesday, May 4, but all bidding will take place online. Participating artists receive a commission from their barrel sale, and remaining proceeds go directly to the Athens-Clarke County Green School Program, an initiative that encourages environmental education in local schools.     The County Board of Assessors is responsible for determining if you can be taxed, value, and equalization of all property assessments within the county. The Board of Assessors is a three-member body of appointed citizens of Athens-Clarke County. The members are appointed for a fixed year term by the Athens-Clarke County Board of Commissioners and operate autonomously. A Chairman and Vice-Chairman are elected on an annual basis.
