Valentine's Weekend- Couch Crashers

Couch Crashers is a collaborative program to engage our community to foster, and to give the pets in our Adoption Center a much needed break from kennel life for the weekend. All pets must be rabies vaccinated and spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate), and off their stray hold period in order to be eligible for foster. *Please note that we do not typically send small dogs for Couch Crashers, as they are our most adoptable pets and do not typically need a foster.

This annual award recognizes a community member as an environmental steward of litter prevention and abatement or community greening/beautification. The award recipient will be recognized at the annual GreenFest Award Ceremony. Nominees must be a resident of Athens-Clarke County. Board of Assessors Meeting - Remote Teleconference

The County Board of Assessors is responsible for determining if you can be taxed, value, and equalization of all property assessments within the county. The Board of Assessors is a three-member body of appointed citizens of Athens-Clarke County. The members are appointed for a fixed year term by the Athens-Clarke County Board of Commissioners and operate autonomously. A Chairman and Vice-Chairman are elected on an annual basis.

Water Conservation Leadership Award

The Water Conservation Leadership Award recognizes an individual, business, group, or other organization that has demonstrated a commitment to protecting our water resources through water conservation. Any resident, business, group, or other organization in Athens-Clarke County is eligible to apply. The Water Conservation Leadership Award recipient will be notified of their selection by mid March 2021.The Award will be presented at the Green Life Awards Ceremony in April 2021.
