    TIREd of Trash? Tires don't belong in streams, woods, or backyards. Please help us keep our community clean! There is NO disposal fee for residents of ACC and Oglethorpe Counties during Tire Amnesty Week, February 24 to 29, 2020. Bring abandoned tires to the ACC Landfill at 5700 Lexington Road or the CHaRM at 1005 College Ave (See websites for facility hours). Amnesty only applies to passenger vehicle tires and there is a limit of 6 tires per customer. Absolutely NO RIMS. After 6 tires, the regular fees apply. Questions? Call 706-613-3508.     Does your bathroom need attention? Show it a little love with a WaterSense labeled showerhead! For the month of February, free WaterSense labeled showerheads will be available at the following locations while supplies last: ACC Water Conservation Office 124 E. Hancock Ave, 2nd Floor M-F, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Athens Hardware 1080 HWY US-29 M-F, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Normal Hardware 1328 Prince Ave M-F, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.; Sat, 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. A WaterSense label means the product is at least 20% more water-efficient than the traditional counterpart AND performs as well or better. To earn the label, a product must meet EPA's specifications and undergo independent, third-party certification.
