    MACORTS has scheduled public informational meetings for the public to review and comment upon the updated the MACORTS / ACC Transit Department Limited English Proficiency (LEP) Plan and the MACORTS Participation Plan. The LEP Plan outlines measures that MACORTS and ACC Transit Department take to ensure that non- English speakers are not excluded from the transportation planning process or the services of ACC Transit Department. The Participation Plan outlines how MACORTS will interact with the public within the transportation planning process.

  2. MACORTS Public Input Session for Proposed Transportation Improvement Plan Amendment

    Madison Athens-Clarke Oconee Regional Transportation Study (MACORTS), the cooperative transportation planning body for the urbanized area which includes Athens-Clarke County, portions of southern Madison County and northern Oconee County, has scheduled a public informational meeting to provide opportunity for the public to review and comment upon a proposed amendment to the FY 2018 - 2021 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) and the FY 2022 - 2023 Second Tier of Projects. This document outlines planned transportation improvements for the long and short term. This notice of public involvement activities and time established for public review and comment on the TIP will satisfy the Program of Projects (POP) requirements of the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Section 5307 Program.

    Do you know an individual, business, or organization that demonstrates wise water use? If so, you may know the 2019 ACC Water Conservation Leadership Award recipient. Share with us your candidate's water-saving efforts and nominate them for the 2019 ACC Water Conservation Leadership Award. Nominations are being accepted through February 8, 2019. The award recipient will be recognized during the Green Life Expo & Awards on February 23 at the Athens-Clarke County Library.
