  1. Call for Entries: Ripple Effect Film Project

    Calling all young, budding filmmakers! We are planting the seeds of filmmaking, now just add water and watch you grow: Join the Ripple Effect Film Project by creating a short film about water. Finalists submissions will be shown at The Morton Theater on World Water Day, March 22, 2020. This year the film contest is open to Pre-K through 12th-grade filmmakers of all experience levels in Athens-Clarke County and neighboring counties. Entries can be submitted by an individual or team. Films must be submitted no later than 11:59 pm on February 2, 2020. No entry fees; cash prizes will be awarded!

  2. Trick or Treatment Tour

    October 30, 2019, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM @ Cedar Creek Water Reclamation Facility

    Bubbling vats of mysterious potions. Billions of microscopic bugs. We’re not talking about Dr. Frankenstein’s laboratory; we’re talking about a wastewater treatment plant! Join us at the Cedar Creek Water Reclamation Facility for a tour of the wastewater treatment process. Find out what we’ve got brewing and how we keep Athens’ water clean. The tour will be held on Wednesday, October 30th from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. Ages 8 and up. Costumes welcome! And to all the good and bad witches out there: leave the high heels at home!
