The Oconee Rivers Greenway Commission is a secondary agency of the Athens-Clarke County Unified Government, established by county ordinance in 1992. The general responsibility of the Commission is to develop a plan for a river-oriented greenway system in Athens-Clarke County and to recommend other measures to protect the resources of the Oconee Rivers and their tributaries.
Greenway Commission members are appointed to five-year terms. Commissioners may serve two consecutive terms.
Two positions are full 5-year terms: Starting January 2024 and expiring December 2028.
One position starts January 2024 and expires December 2026.

Most meetings of the ORGC are held on Weekdays from 3pm until 5 pm. Attendance is required in-person to be a member of the ORGC.
