The Athens-Clarke County Unified Government (ACCGov) Leisure Services Department and Oconee Rivers Greenway Commission (ORGC) are seeking comment on recent changes to the Oconee Rivers Greenway Network Plan. The Oconee Rivers Greenway Network Plan is a living document that guides the future of the greenway system of Athens-Clarke County. The Greenway Network Plan provides a vision plan for the corridors next to rivers, streams, and wetlands and recreational multiuse trails within Athens-Clarke County. Trail alignments are conceptual and if any section is approved for funding, construction drawings are created and public input is sought before construction. Residents are invited to make comments through an online survey, which will remain open through Sunday, November 30. For more information about the Oconee Rivers Greenway Network Plan and ORGC, please visit the Oconee Rivers Greenway Network Plan page, www.accgov.com/greenwaynetworkplan, or call 706-613-3111.
