Scroll to the bottom of the home page and click on the “Planning Meetings” tab under “Events & Highlights.” Look for the date of the Planning Commission meeting and click on the link under that date. On the following page, under “Event Details,” you can click on the attached plans for each zoning action.
Members of the public are encouraged to attend the Planning Commission meeting where public comments will be received. Applicants and representatives of specified interest groups are provided ten minutes to address the Commission. All other speakers are provided three minutes.
Written or emailed public comments received by the Planning Department no later than noon Wednesday, May 1, 2024 will be forwarded to the Planning Commission for their consideration prior to the hearing. After this date, written comments may be read into the record at the hearing, subject to the previously noted time limits for addressing the Commission. Comments will also be forwarded to the Mayor & Commission.
The purpose of the Planning Commission hearing is to be a forum for public comments in favor or in opposition to the proposal. After the Planning Commission hearing, the Mayor & Commission are tentatively scheduled to consider the request at their Agenda Setting meeting on May 21, 2024 with a final vote tentatively scheduled for June 4, 2024. Public comment will be accepted at both the agenda setting and voting meetings. Please note that the halfway house is tentatively scheduled to receive an initial hearing at the May 21st and June 4th meetings, but a final vote is tentatively scheduled for Dec. 3, 2024.
