Proposed Pet Registration Program - Closes July 31, 2023

The Animal Services Department is considering a pet licensing program for the community for dogs and cats. The program would require residents to register their pet and their pet’s vaccination status for a 1-3 year period based on the length of the rabies vaccination.

Climate Resilience Study - Closes Fall 2023

Athens-Clarke County residents are invited to participate in a climate resilience study to help improve and learn more about disaster preparedness. The study includes a series of surveys and a disaster preparedness exercise. This project is a collaboration between ACCGov and researchers from the University of Georgia, Kennesaw State University, and Augusta University.
