Updates from the Reuse Store
Hi teachers,
See photos below for a sampling of new items in the TRS. Of particular note are those big stacks of boxes, which contain old newspapers dating back as early as the 1880s! They're all from Jackson, Georgia. Some are crumbling apart, some are in great shape, all are FASCINATING and I'm sure students would enjoy them! Please come claim some for your classrooms.
Another upcoming event to note:
Repair Cafe
Broken? Toss it? Uhh, no way!
Repair Cafe is a place to bring things that are broken, and work with experienced fellow community members to try to fix them, together. Held approximately monthly.
Examples of items fixed at Repair Cafes:
- Clothing
- Small household appliances
- Bicycles
- Vacuum cleaners
- and lots more!
Anyone is welcome, including people who have things that need fixing, and people with knowledge and experience doing repairs.
We will have FREE COFFEE & TEA provided by Jittery Joe's!
Want to volunteer?
We need experienced menders! Whether you know how to mend clothing, fix electronics, repair furniture, or something else, please email us: reuse@accgov.com.
Located within the CHaRM/Teacher Reuse Store.
Thank you, see you sometime soon!
