Get Your Tickets!Athens Creative Theatre (ACT) presents Agatha Christie’s “The Mousetrap” at Quinn Hall located at Memorial Park in Athens Thursday, March 2 through Saturday, March 4.
The scene is set when a group of people gathered in a country house cut off by the snow discover, to their horror, that there is a murderer in their midst. Who can it be? One by one the suspicious characters reveal their sordid pasts until at the last, nerve-shredding moment the identity and the motive are finally revealed
Show times are Thursday-Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are now on sale online, by phone at 706-613-3771, or in person at the Morton Theatre Box Office located at 195 W. Washington Street Mondays through Fridays from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. Tickets are $15 each. Discounted rates are available for groups.

On Stage at the Morton!“Happiness Rules" is a showcase of dance highlighting the gifted students enrolled in East Athens Educational Dance Center’s Accelerated Programs. Featuring ballet, modern, tap, African and contemporary dance; dancers will perform new works exploring themes of friendship, gratitude, love, and kindness. Curated with the goal of uplifting the audience, the music and choreography are sure to inspire and delight everyone. Guest performances include Atlanta’s Ballethnic Dance Company fresh from its company debut at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts Public performances are scheduled for Saturday, February 25 at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday February 26 at 3:00 p.m. All performances take place at the Morton Theatre at 195 W. Washington Street. Tickets are $15 in advance and $18 the day of the show. Tickets are now on sale.

48th Juried ExhibitionThe show is curated by Maria Elena Ortiz, Curator at The Modern in Fort Worth, Texas. She reviewed 682 works of art by 245 Athens area artists. Of these, Ms.Ortiz chose 154 works by 107 local artists. In addition, multiple awards selected by the Juror will be announced on opening day.
Throughout the run of the exhibition, the Lyndon House Arts Center will be hosting artist talks in the galleries Thursday evenings during the month of April. Those dates are April 6, 13, 20, and 27th. Gallery Talks begin at 6:00 p.m.
The Lyndon House Arts Center would like to thank the Athens area artists who entered their works for review and for the generous and continued support for this anchor community art event.
All exhibitions are free of charge and open to the public. Exhibitions are on view during regular gallery hours Tuesday and Thursday 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Spring Program Registration ContinuesThe Leisure Services Department continues its spring program opportunities for 2023.
A diverse selection highlighting the arts, environmental science, recreation, sports, and holiday events are planned for adults and children. Registration will continue until programs are at full enrollment or they begin.
Individuals must establish a free online account at www.accgov.com/myrec prior to registration. Payment may be rendered using an American Express, debit card, Discover Card, MasterCard, Visa, or a MasterCard or Visa gift card.

Sasquatch AdventureWilling to hike off trail in search of cryptids? Evaluate evidence with an open mind and a good sense of humor? Interested in exploring a large tract of land in search of clues? Sign up for Sasquatch Adventure! This special program is planned for Saturday, March 18 from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the Tallassee Forest. Fearlessly this group, led by highly trained government staff, will search for animal signs, evaluate habitat, experiment with calls and other techniques in search of Sasquatch.
Everyone should wear clothes and shoes appropriate for hiking. Pack water and a snack for this strenuous backwoods adventure.
This program is for ages 10 and older. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. The fee is $3 for ACC residents and $4 for non-residents. Online registration is required.

Applications are now being accepted for camp counselors, counselors in training, Grand Slam staff, lifeguards, and pool clerks. Pay ranges from $15.60 to $17 per hour.
