The Arts Center is hosting a fun, festive Holiday Open House in early December. There will be live music, ornament making, gingerbread house building, stories and most importantly, SANTA! Deck the Walls Holiday Shop

The Arts Center’s Gallery Shop is expanding out into the Atrium for the Holidays. We’re Decking the Walls! Shop local and support Athens artisans this season. Offerings will include h
andcrafted jewelry, scarves, hats, mittens, pottery, glass, paintings, photography, soap, frames, folk art, seasonal

Art Unites Open Studio Evenings in December 

Tuesdays, 5:00 - 8:30 pm in December

The country of France and the city of Paris, has given the world some of the most awe inspiring art of our cultural history. In the current wake of the tragic attacks and violence in Paris and around the world, Lyndon House Arts Center will open the Painting and Drawing Studio to the community each Tuesday evening in December as while art touches the intellect, it touches the heart. Let’s come together to support peace and heal through conversing and creating.

IMAGINE: Art Works by Students of

the Clarke County School District

This biennial exhibit, sponsored by First American Bank & Trust, will showcase nearly 200 students in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade who all explore the theme, IMAGINE, by creating both abstract and non-representational works in many different materials. Facebook Event

The Lounge Gallery: 
Drawings by Adrienne Kitchens

Adrienne Kitchens, recipient of the Director’s Choice award from the 40th Juried Exhibition, will exhibit her cut paper drawings and collages in the Lounge Gallery. 

Kitchens is an artist and educator currently living and working in Athens. She earned BFA degrees from UGA in Painting and Drawing and Art Education in 2013. She works in her home studio in addition to teaching Introductory Art at Cedar Shoals High School. Facebook Event

Art classes make great gifts! Local photographer, BMX biker and skateboarder Chad Osburn will be teaching a Photography class in the darkroom this winter. 8 Tuesdays, January 12 - March 3, 6:00 - 8:30 pm. This class uses our upcoming exhibition, Pictures of Us: Photography of the Collection of the Do Good Fund, a collection of Southern photographers focusing on portraiture as an inspiration. Intro to Printmaking

Mike Levine will be at the Art Center warming it up in the printmaking studios with his hot off the press mixed media prints. He covers it all-  guiding students through basic printmaking techniques (dry point, mono print, relief) and introduces new experimental media along the way.
