ACCPD is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Bryson Hamilton, a 21-year-old Athens-Clarke County resident. After an extensive investigation by our detectives, evidence has connected Hamilton to at least 23 Burglaries, Attempted Burglaries and Entering Autos. Many of the crimes have occurred along the Hancock corridor.
Through photo evidence, officers connected Hamilton to a series of incidents in late September and detectives began their investigation which is continuing.
Hamilton mainly steals electronics – speakers, computers, gaming consoles and controllers as well as backpacks, clothes and shoes.
ACCPD reminds residents to discourage criminal activity by removing valuables from their vehicles as well as locking vehicle doors. To prevent burglaries, lock doors and close windows and blinds. Residents should also turn on exterior lights, install a video surveillance system, and contact police if you notice suspicious activity in your neighborhood or apartment complex.
