Philmon Chambers, wanted for the December murder of Rodriguez Rucker,
was located and arrested in Kileen, Texas on March 6, 2019. Rucker, 32 years old
from Athens, was killed on Royal Court in east Athens at approximately 3:18 pm
on December 14, 201
On December 14, 2018, ACCPD identified a truck believed to be driven by
the murder suspect. That truck was later connected to Chambers, 30 years old
from Decatur, and ACCPD detectives obtained a Malice Murder warrant for his
arrest.
After an extensive investigation, Chambers was located and arrested in
Texas. ACCPD will seek to extradite Chambers to Athens to face the murder
charge.
On March 6, 2019, ACCPD also arrested Andrea Browner, 24 years old from
Athens, in connection to the murder of Rucker. Browner will be charged with
Felony Murder. Browner and Chambers are known associates.
