On September 9th at approximately 12:40 pm, ACCPD responded to a call from a
resident in the 100 block of Biscayne Drive who witnessed two male suspects running down
Cavalier Road, one carrying a rifle. As our Communications Officers continued to speak with
the witness to obtain suspect descriptions, ACCPD officers arrived and began to search the
area.
At approximately the same time, another resident in the 100 block of Biscayne Drive
called to report that his home was burglarized and a firearm was missing.
Information from witnesses indicated that the male suspects were last seen at a
residence at 330 Cavalier Road. ACCPD obtained a search warrant for the residence and
recovered stolen property. Two suspects in the residence were detained.
After searching the residence, Demitroi Jordan (19, Athens) was charged with two
counts of Burglary, two counts of Contributing to Delinquency of a Minor, and Theft by
Receiving Stolen Property. The other suspect in the incident, a 16-year-old juvenile, was
released to a parent.
