CHRISTMAS DAY HOLIDAY SCHEDULE 2023
2023 Christmas Day Holiday Schedule
The Athens-Clarke County Solid Waste Department will suspend compost, garbage and recycling collections on Monday December 25th and Tuesday December 26th, 2023 in recognition of the Christmas Day Holiday.
If you have residential service & commercial service with us outside of the downtown district your pick up schedule will be as follows: No collections on Monday or Tuesday. Monday and Tuesday will be collected on Wednesday. Wednesday and Thursday will be collected on Thursday. Friday will be collected on Friday. Please make sure your trash and recycling roll-carts are out on the curb by 7:00 AM on your pick up day.
If you have commercial or residential service with us and are located within the Downtown District your pick up will be on regular schedule.

Annually, the Athens-Clarke County Solid Waste Department may alter collection service for the following holidays:
New Year’s Day, MLK Jr. Day, Earth Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Indigenous People's Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, & Christmas.
