CHRISTMAS DAY HOLIDAY SCHEDULE 2022
2022 Christmas Day Holiday Schedule
- The Athens-Clarke County Solid Waste Department will suspend compost, garbage, recycling and leaf & limb collections on Friday December 23rd and Monday December 26th 2022 in observance of the Christmas Day Holiday.
- If you have residential service & commercial service with us outside of the downtown district your service will be picked on the following schedules.
- For the week of Monday December 19th, the schedule will be as follows: Monday thru Wednesday collections will be on the regular schedule. Thursday and Friday will be collected on Friday.
- For the week of Monday December 26th, the schedule will be as follows: Monday collections on Tuesday. Tuesday collections on Wednesday. Wednesday collections on Thursday. Thursday and Friday collections on Friday.
- Please have your trash and recycling roll carts out at 7:00 A.M. on your pick up day.
- If you have commercial or residential service with us and are located within the Downtown District your schedule will be picked up on the regular schedule besides Christmas day when there will be no collections.

Annually, the Athens-Clarke County Solid Waste Department may alter collection service for the following holidays:
New Year’s Day, MLK Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, & Christmas.
